SUBJECT: CHANGE TO MUTUAL FUND NETWORKING SCHEDULE ON SEPTEMBER 5, 1998

National Securities Clearing Corporation’s Networking Service is an automated, centralized record keeping system through which all customer account level information (other than trade processing information) can be exchanged between mutual fund firms and other financial institutions.

Due to a necessary power shutdown for computer maintenance on Saturday September 5, 1998, there will be a change to the schedule for input/output for Mutual Funds Networking Service. All input of Dividends, Positions and Account files should be completed by no later than 1:00pm EST. The schedule to submit Broker Account Conversion files (Datatrak Sysid’s 26595 for 6 digit dates, 26599 for 8 digit dates) will be changed on Sept. 5, 1998 only, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm EST to 11:00am - 2:00pm EST. All scheduled output from NSCC will be completed by no later than 3:00pm EST.
