| SUBJECT: | ACATS REDESIGN - AVAILABILITY OF CONVERSION TEST FILES AND ADDITIONAL PRE-FORMATTED TEST OUTPUT |
As stated in NSCC Important Notice dated September 21, 1998 (A 4830, P&S 4394), NSCC will begin providing test conversion files and reports to participants. The first test conversion files and reports will be the result of ACATS production data from end of day Friday, October 16, 1998. The files and reports will be available the week of October 19th. As noted in the above referenced Important Notice, the files and reports will be utilizing the production Autoroute IDs and will be available for participants to receive via Autoroute once they have successfully established network connectivity for test output. The Autoroute Products which are part of this test are: 02090718 (ACATS Position EOD-Variable MRO file; 02090724 (ACATS EOD-Fixed MRO file and 02090711 (ACATS EOD Member Reports).
NSCC plans to repeat the conversion tests with ACATS production data from the end of day Friday, October 23rd and Friday, October 30th with conversion test files and reports available the week following each conversion. Please note that the Autoroute Products produced for October 23rd and October 30th will overlay the previous week’s files if the participant has not taken the files from Autoroute. Therefore, it is important to take the weekly files as soon as they become available. NSCC will announce any additional conversion tests by an Important Notice.
After participants have successfully received their transmission of conversion test output, all questions specific to the conversion files and reports should be faxed to SIAC’s Enterprise Services Center at (212) 383-1298. Please refer to attached Exhibit A, which is a sample form to be used to submit all questions. This form is similar in content to the form used to submit questions regarding the pre-formatted test output. However, please use the attached form for all conversion related inquiries. For those firms which plan to receive ACATS output via PCWeb Direct, upon their request, NSCC will make reports available on the Website.
Availability of Additional Pre-formatted Test Files and Reports
In addition to the pre-formatted files and reports documented in NSCC Important Notice A4801 dated July 31, 1998, NSCC will have available the week of October 19th, the Interface Reject files (Autoroute Test Products 02990721 & 02990727), Settling Organization Reject Report (Autoroute Test Product 02990763) and Settling Organization Receive & Deliver Instructions (Autoroute Test Product 02990764). With these pre-formatted files and reports, participants will have available to them a complete set of all the files and reports of the redesigned ACATS. Please follow procedures documented in the above referenced notice to receive these files and reports.
All ACATS Redesign Important Notices and file layouts are available on NSCC’s ACATS Website at http://acats.nscc.com. In addition, the ACATS Website contains Frequently Asked Questions and various technical documents.
