SUBJECT: URGENT- ACATS REDESIGN ADDITIONAL CONVERSION TEST ON MONDAY DEC. 28, 1998

In order for participants to prepare for the implementation of the new ACATS system on Monday, January 25, 1999, NSCC has decided to perform a second ACATS conversion test on Monday, December 28^th, 1998. This test is in addition to the previously announced Dress Rehearsal Week-end II scheduled for January 8^th.

Please refer to timetable on next page and note that NSCC WILL NOT be running the test system for new input or any output on Monday , December 28^th.

The files and reports available during this second conversion will be the result of ACATS production data from end of day Monday, December 28, 1998 converted to the new formats. The converted production data will overlay the test database that participants have been using since December 21^st.

The conversion files and reports are similar to the conversion output that was available to participants in October for a three week period and during the first Dress Rehearsal Week-end on December 18^th. The files and reports will be utilizing the production Autoroute IDs of the new system and will be automatically sent via Autoroute to participants who have been set up to receive the new production output. NSCC expects the conversion output to be available on Monday, December 28^th at approximately 8:00 pm (EST). The AutoRoute Products that are part of this test are:

02090718 (ACATS Position EOD-Variable MRO file)
02090724 (ACATS Position EOD-Fixed MRO file)
02090711 (ACATS EOD Member Reports)

For those firms that have been set up to receive the new ACATS production AutoRoute Products via PCWeb Direct, NSCC will direct this output to PCWeb Direct.

	3:00pm	Current ACATS Production End of Day for 12/28 overlays test database. Note: Since test database is overlaid, responses to inquiries regarding participant test data submitted prior to 12/28 will be limited after this time.
	8:00 pm (EST)	New AutoRoute Products automatically released and transmitted to participants. End of day 12/28 production converted to new formats: 02090718; 02090724; 02090711
	8:00 pm- 8:00 am Dec, 29th	SIAC Network Operations available for re-runs of conversion output and all inquiries (212)383-2210
