SUBJECT: NSCC BEGINS PROCESSING SIX NEW DOMESTIC INDEX SECURITY iSHARES

The National Securities Clearing Corporation will now include six additional iShares^sm. The new iShares will be Amex-traded security which represent ownership in open-ended investment company registered under the 1940 Act established to accumulate and hold portfolios of common stocks intended to track the price performance and dividend yield of various well-known indices. Clearing and trading information pertinent to the new iShares index product follows:

The existing well-established creation and redemption procedures, reporting structures, files, and reports that was used for the previous domestic iShares products will be used for the new iShares as well.

NOTE: In preparation for creation and redemption activity, NSCC is scheduled to add the new iShares portfolios to its Domestic Portfolio Composition File (PCF) on or about Monday, July 2,2001 for the iShares scheduled to begin trading on July 13, 2001, and July 9, 2001 for the remaining iShares scheduled to begin trading on July 20, 2001 . This file also contains all other domestic index security portfolios.
