On February 21, 2001, NSCC issued Important Notice A: 5228 / P&S: 4798 announcing its intention to enhance its envelope settlement services by eliminating the hand written credit lists associated with each, and making credit lists available on an automated basis via The Depository Trust Company’s ("DTC") Participant Terminal System ("PTS").

On July 6, 2001, via Important Notice A: #5290/P&S: #4860 Members were requested to complete and return to their relationship manager a PTS Sign-On ID Form. This is necessary to ensure that appropriate staff has access to the ECSP function, and laser printers are correctly genned to the system and can print the bar coded credit lists.

The new function (ECSP) is currently in pilot and is scheduled to go live on Monday, September 17, 2001.

Please ensure that your firm has completed and returned the PTS Sign-On ID Form, and has tested printing the credit lists from ECSP. This should be done as early as possible. DTCC’s Information Services staff can provide assistance with any technical questions. Contact your relationship manager if you have any questions or require technical assistance.

Members are also reminded that all envelopes will be tracked on the ECSP system. Members are encouraged to promptly order the new bar coded envelopes for all envelope services, including FOSS and DSS, to ensure an adequate supply for the September 17, 2001 implementation date.
