SUBJECT: Mandatory Data Connection to RTTM Web Required for RTTM Conversion. NSCC PC Web to be Discontinued for Fixed Income Products.

As announced in a prior National Securities Clearing Corporation (“NSCC or the “Corporation”) Important Notice (A#5713, P&S #5283, dated November 11, 2003,) the Real-Time Trade Matching System (RTTM) will replace the current Fixed Income Transaction System (FITS) for all corporate, municipal and UIT trade matching and reporting functions in March 2004.

All firms currently using NSCC’s PC Web Direct for FITS screen trade input and output will be required to convert to the new RTTM Web in March. As a result of this first phase of RTTM implementation, NSCC PC Web Direct screen input will no longer be available for corporate, municipal and UIT processing in March 2004.

In addition to this Important Notice, your firm has also been contacted by your member services representative regarding this upcoming system conversion. In order to ensure a smooth transition to RTTM Web for corporate, municipal and UIT processing in March, your firm must establish and test connectivity to RTTM prior to January 16, 2004. Failure to do so will severely limit your firm's ability to train on RTTM Web during the first quarter of 2004, and potentially jeopardize your ability to process corporate, municipal and UIT trades beginning in March.

RTTM Web Connectivity Options:

In order to assist your firm in securing connectivity, the Corporation needs to know the name of your firm’s conversion coordinator and his or her telephone and email address. We will also need to know the system’s primary user and his or her telephone number and email address.

Please contact or email this information to your firm’s member services representative, call the CMU-RTTM Hotline (212) 855-7664, or email your questions to CMUhelp@ficc.com.
